WELCOME TO MS. LAVENDER'S TEA PARTY

Hello and Welcome all! My name is Misako Kikuchi and I want to share my love of tea with you.

Three Teacups

THE WHY

Why am I doing this? - My ever growing interest for tea and the cultural impact surrounding it has led me here, creating a blog documenting my journey around the world through different teas. In this blog, I plan to focus on discussing the cultural significance and the flavor profile of teas from different countries.

I plan on trying at least one tea from a specific country or region the way they are typically had. I do know that everyone makes their tea exactly how they like it - personally I like my sencha strong and my Barry’s tea with two teaspoons of raw sugar and a splash of milk - so when a tea has several ways of preparing them I will pick one and have it that way. All suggestions are welcome and I will gladly give it a try!

Now, I love both tea and coffee, and a question has been on my mind for quite some time...do I get more caffeine from coffee or tea? Later on I plan to compare the caffeine levels in the teas I post about on here against coffee. This blog will help me find the answer to my question; perhaps others have asked the same question.
